House Trained

Oscar (#568-17)

Oscar was found as a stray with 2 ruptured eardrums.  MACSPRO made all attempts to clear up the infection that came back as the worst kind of infection.  After several months of antibiotic and cleaning treatments the infection came back full force.  MACSPRO's only alternative was to remove Oscar's eardrums to give him a life without horrific pain and discomfort leaving him deaf.  When Oscar was released from his 3 weeks recovery at the vet hospital he went crazy with excitement when he say his foster Dad and MACSPRO volunteer that visited Oscar often during his stay.  He's still such a smart little guy dragging his foster Dad to the truck when he realized he was going to his foster home.  Once home he quickly reunited with his furry pals, foster Mom, and took a victory lap around both floors of the house.  Everywhere Oscar goes he is the hit of the event, eager to meet and greet everyone, as well as his furry friends he gets to meet.  Oscar seems to no longer be in any pain, and his lack of hearing does not seem to faze him in any way.  Surprisingly Oscar still sit's, give's paw, and lay's down upon command.  His foster family says 'This dog is a keeper!  Smart, and gets along wonderfully with the other dogs'.  Oscar still has a lot of puppy in him and can jump twice his height like a mountain goat.  Just an awesome boy!  Oscar does great with children of all ages.

If you are not able to adopt Oscar but what to contribute to his medical care please click Here and put Oscar's name in the comments.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU!!!!!!  MACSPRO would like to thank Oscar's foster Dad Larry for taking such wonderful care of him, transporting Oscar for his weekly ear treatments, and transport to surgery, consistent visits during his 3 week recovery at the vet, and all the adoption events to get this little guy exposure to meet his future forever family.  Deb Kachik of Deb Kachik Photography for volunteering to take some of the beautiful photo's you see of Oscar.  Thank you so much Deb, you really help bring out Oscar's adorable Pug eye's and handsome stature.

Sori (#583-17)

Sori is 3 years old and in need of a foster or forever home. She walks well on leash and has a great recall for off leash. She would make a great hiking, running, or couch companion. She responds very well to commands and is very chilled out. Sori may be a little shy outside the home at times but has come out of her shell and continues to amaze with her happy disposition. She has excellent manners at dinner and when taking treats. FYI - Sori and Doobu (582-17) are sisters.

If you cannot adopt or foster and would like to help Sori please consider a donation towards Sori's successful eye surgery that was performed this past March.   If you would like to towards Sori's corrective eye surgery Click Here and put Sori's name in the comment box

A SPECIAL THANK YOU!!!!!!  MACSPRO would like to thank Deb Kachik of Deb Kachik Photography for volunteering to take some of the beautiful photo's you see of Sori.  Thank you so much Deb, you really help bring out Sori's beautiful smile.

MaiMai (#578-16)

MaiMai came into Fairfax County Animal Shelter as a stray.   She’s very fearful,  probably due to her limited vision and is scheduled for corrective eye surgery & spaying.  Once comfortable, a very loving young girl who needs a loving home.  She is 50 lbs.

Update (3/2/17): Mai Mai would do best as the only dog in the home and an experience Shar Pei owner.

Update (12/31/16): MaiMai has found a foster in Annapolis. Still looking for her forever home!

Update (12/10/16); She still needs a foster or forever home.  She’s 6 years old and had a rough previous life and could use a loving home and someone to snuggle up with.

Update (11/02/2016): Mai Mai had work done on her eyes and is a sweet loving girl that could use a foster home.
