Rex (#505-14)

Rex

Rex is our big boy coming in from Brooklyn, NY. He may be big but he's full of love. Rex loves getting his tummy rubbed, playing with toys and eating treats. He does well with children and would really love a family to call his own! Rex is a Shar-pei that loves water.

Update (9/2014): Rex has been getting a lot of training and exercise and has been losing weight. He looks great!

Update (12/2014): Rex is enjoying his time in foster but is so happy to get out of the kennel that he has a tendency to mark his territory.

Update (5/2015):  Rex has been adopted by his foster family.

Floyd (#529-15)

Floyd

Floyd was saved just in the nick of time from New York City . He is about 5 years old and only 37 pounds. Floyd is getting used to his foster but is a nice boy who is enjoying getting lots of treats and good food.

Update (4/2015): Floyd has been adopted by his foster family.

Oliver (#532-15)

Oliver

Oliver, previously Wanderer, is one of the 66 Shar Pei that was rescued from a hoarder situation in Berkeley County, South Carolina. Oliver is a bit timid but loves gentle pets to his face and head. Oliver was used to living in a tiny crate for most of his life so he is unsure of what to do when in a larger environment. He needs a calm home and gentle guidance. Oliver is currently receiving heartworm treatment.

Update (4/2015): Oliver went to his forever family in Orefield, PA where he will have his Pei sister to help him learn how to live a good dog life.

Harrison (#536-15)

Harrison

Harrison is a young Pei that was surrendered by his owners to his veterinarian.  He previously had parts of a toy stuck in side of him and his veterinarian made sure he received the proper care (surgery, antibiotics, heart worm testing, Bordetella, etc.) by donating their time and resources.  He has a very sweet personality and the staff at the veterinarian office really like him.  So far he appears to be ok with other dogs.  Harrison is currently enjoying life with his foster family while waiting for his forever home.

Bella (#537-15)

Bella

Bella is our energetic girl from New York. Bella is 2 years old and about 39 lbs. She loves to go on runs and play with toys. Bella is very friendly and likes to meet new people. Bella knows "sit" and is housebroken.

Update (4/2015): Bella found her furever home in Havre de Grace, MD. Congrats, Bella!

Harley (#539-15)

Harley

Harley is coming to us from Clarion, PA.  His owners couldn't handle him marking the house so they felt like they had to give him up.  We've helped Harley with his marking by getting him neutered and after the surgery we will work with him some more to address his marking.  Harley's previous owners state that he is good with other dogs.  Harley needs a foster or adoptive family to help him grow up to be a great family Pei.

Update (4/2015): Harley is now enjoying life with his new forever family in Hagerstown, MD.
