Adopted

Nibbles (#584-17)

Nibbles

Nibbles is a super sweet boy. He does not know how to walk on a leash, but is learning! He is good with cats, dogs and loves people! He is also not food reactive. Please let us know if you can foster Nibbles!

Update (2/2017): Nibbles will make his home in Damascus, MD with Meeko and family.

Brandi (#581-17)

Brandi collage

Brandi  will be coming to MACSPRO soon from North Carolina. She is coming more out of her shell each day with allowing many different people to handle her.  She was turned in by her owners who could not afford her medical costs for her skin condition.

Update 3/2/17: was officially adopted today and will be spending her days in Westminster with her furry sister, Sweetie, adopter Anna and her family

Ace (#580-16)

Flying in to us tomorrow (11/19/16) from Alabama, originally from Mississippi, Ace is an 8 month old very sweet shar pei mix that was in very rough shape and is on his way to getting healthy. Everyone that meets him falls in love with him! He has a foster home, but is looking for a forever home!

Update (12/10/16): This sweet boy came up to us from Mississippi with the help of Paws & Pilots.  He was probably used as a bait dog in a fighting ring and suffered injuries to his ears (if you won’t fight, you get used to teach other fighting dogs).   Ace is housebroken and loves everyone.   Ace needs a loving home to make up for what he has been through.

Update (3/11/2017):  Ace has been adopted! He'll be heading to his furever home in Wisconsin where he'll get to meet sister Daisy, also a rescue. They drove all night to meet him!  We are so happy for him  Safe travels and have a great life sweet boy.

Adonis (#579-16)

Adonis is coming from Puerto Rico tomorrow (11/18/16)!   We have a foster home
for him, but he needs a forever home.

Update (12/6/16): Adonis was adopted on Saturday!  He met his new parents on Saturday and just loved them!   He will be a spoiled pei boy with Crystal & Brian in their new home in Philadelphia!

Victoria (#562-16)

Victor and Victoria will be coming to MACSPRO from Puerto Rico. Victor and Victoria came from a terrible situation in which the owners moved out of their home and left their two Shar-Peis shut inside with no food, no one looking after them, no way to get out, no nothing.

Victor and Victoria require serious medical attention as they were left abandoned in a closed house without food or water. Volunteers had to work hard to rescue Victor and Victoria from the abandoned house as there was a lot of rubble and stuff barricading the dogs.

We really need fosters once Victor and Victoria arrive to us--please let us know if you can help!

Update (01/2016): Here is a wonderful update on how Victor and Victoria are coming along! And again, we'll need fosters when they arrive in the USA from Puerto Rico.

Update (4/7/2016): The vet removed a mass on her paw and sent it out for biopsy. It shows that she has a grade 1 cancer, that is probably the best kind to get if you have to have cancer. It is not aggressive and her prognosis is excellent. However, because the mass was situated directly on her paw, where there isn't much extra skin to play with, she ended up with a nasty wound that got infected. She has been staying at the vet's from Monday through Friday where they do a daily routine to remove the patch, which stimulates the skin underneath to grow back. Once she is through this process, they will go back in and remove the so-called dirty borders that were left from the original removal of the mass. Despite all this, she is a happy camper and loves seeing people and getting attention. She is going to make someone a wonderful companion....

Update (06/2016): Victoria is still in Puerto Rico, we would like to place her in a foster home when she gets here.

Update (07/18/16): Victoria is super mellow. Gets along with others, even alpha females. Likes to keep mostly to herself in front of the fan.  Loves to get hugged and kissed and squished, mushed up.  She is a ham, very easy to dress up with hats and scarves; loves to pose; easy going. She will be coming to Maryland very soon and we really need a foster home for her. We do not want to put her in the boarding kennel.

Update (09/29/2016):  Victoria has a foster waiting for her in Annapolis as soon as she gets here.   We’re waiting for the cooler weather to fly her up here.

Update (10/20/2016): Victoria is now living with a foster in Maryland!

Update (11/02/2016): Victoria is a very well mannered little girl, very calm and very obedient.   Just wants to be a lap dog and loves being around people, getting petted & hugs!

Update (11/16/16): Victoria has found her forever home with Holly in Laurel, MD. Congratulations, all!

Coco (Private Adoption)

Coco
Coco is a 4 yr old Shar Pei Mix that was left behind in an unheated, dark basement when her family moved.
The  landlord is allowing Coco to stay in the home where she feels safe and the kind folks from St Mary’s Animal Welfare League have been feeding her and getting her the necessary medical treatments. She is fine in her home with women, men and other dogs, but is very frightened out of her safe environment. Her time in the empty house will soon be coming to an end and she does not do well in confinement. Coco could really use a foster or forever home, please consider giving this girl a good home and life that she deserves.

Update (10/2016): Coco was adopted by her foster family

Wally (Private Adoption)

He is  a very healthy blue and white boy a little shy but sweet he is big 55 pounds, 18 inches tall and 3 years old I don't use him for breeding but I don't just want to give him to anyone I love him very much but if I could find him a good farm home or someone who had a lot of fenced in area he loves to run.  He's a little shy but he is a little rammy with me not sure how he would be with small kids he's not mean or aggressive he's just big and bouncy and he has not been on a leash much except to go to the vet. He has all of his shots and very strong and healthy.

Ella (#577-16)

Ella has been in & out of a few foster homes and is looking for a furever home to settle down in.   She’s very scared right now and needs an experienced Shar Pei owner to help her relax and trust people again.  She is 6 yrs old & spayed, UTD on all shots.

Update 11/02/2016: Ella is warming up to everyone and is a real nice little girl.   She is a perfect apartment sized dog! She loves playing with toys! She is still looking for her foster/forever family.

Update (12/10/16):  Still waiting at the kennel for a foster or forever home to play with her and give her some treats & love.  Shy girl who takes a little bit to warm up to strangers.   She’s a smaller apartment size pei who loves her toys.

Update (02/02/17):  Sweet little Ella went to her furever home in Pennsylvania, getting spoiled with Ken & grand-daughter Carly.

Kramden (#576-16)

Ringo coming in from Florida soon and needs a foster. He is believed to be about 2, up to date on shots, neutered & just a sweet boy.

Update (10/11/16): Ringo is now in a foster home.

Update (10/16/16): Ringo now goes by Kramden!

Update (11/02/2016): Kramden is a big lovable lump and is doing well in his foster home, but is still looking for a forever home.

Update (11/07/16): Kramden, now Kramer, has found his forever home in Potomac MD and will be busy entertaining the family!!

Harley (#575-16)

Harley (formerly known as Bonsai) came to MACSPRO as a stray from a shelter in New Jersey and is in need of Foster/Forever Home. He is a sweet boy that tolerates other dogs.  He’s a bit larger than most pei and is not leash trained yet.   Not recommended for small children because of his size.

Update (11/02/2016): Harley had eye surgery and is doing well.   He loves to run in the fenced in yard at the kennel, so he would do best in a home with a fence. Will chase after balls, but has not yet learned to bring them back.  He is still looking for a foster/forever family.

Update (12/10/16): This big boy could use a home with a fenced in yard, where he can run all he wants and amuse himself with toys. He’s a 3 year old big boy that tolerates most other dogs.  He is very lonely at the kennel and could use a foster or furever home for the holidays.

Update (1/25/17): Harley went to a foster home in Annapolis.
