Oscar was found as a stray with 2 ruptured eardrums. MACSPRO made all attempts to clear up the infection that came back as the worst kind of infection. After several months of antibiotic and cleaning treatments the infection came back full force. MACSPRO's only alternative was to remove Oscar's eardrums to give him a life without horrific pain and discomfort leaving him deaf. When Oscar was released from his 3 weeks recovery at the vet hospital he went crazy with excitement when he say his foster Dad and MACSPRO volunteer that visited Oscar often during his stay. He's still such a smart little guy dragging his foster Dad to the truck when he realized he was going to his foster home. Once home he quickly reunited with his furry pals, foster Mom, and took a victory lap around both floors of the house. Everywhere Oscar goes he is the hit of the event, eager to meet and greet everyone, as well as his furry friends he gets to meet. Oscar seems to no longer be in any pain, and his lack of hearing does not seem to faze him in any way. Surprisingly Oscar still sit's, give's paw, and lay's down upon command. His foster family says 'This dog is a keeper! Smart, and gets along wonderfully with the other dogs'. Oscar still has a lot of puppy in him and can jump twice his height like a mountain goat. Just an awesome boy! Oscar does great with children of all ages.

A SPECIAL THANK YOU!!!!!! Deb Kachik of Deb Kachik Photography for volunteering to take some of the beautiful photo's you see of Oscar. Thank you so much Deb, you really help bring out Oscar's adorable Pug eye's and handsome stature.
Sori is 3 years old and in need of a foster or forever home. She walks well on leash and has a great recall for off leash. She would make a great hiking, running, or couch companion. She responds very well to commands and is very chilled out. Sori may be a little shy outside the home at times but has come out of her shell and continues to amaze with her happy disposition. She has excellent manners at dinner and when taking treats. FYI - Sori and Doobu (582-17) are sisters.
If you cannot adopt or foster and would like to help Sori please consider a donation towards Sori's successful eye surgery that was performed this past March. If you would like to towards Sori's corrective eye surgery Click Here and put Sori's name in the comment box

Update 4/28/17 Sori found her forever home with Chuck & Brenda in Culpepper VA and is living a charmed (spoiled) life!
UPDATE (3/2/17): We think Sori will be better off adopted separately. Doobu picks on her, takes her toys away and pushes her out of the way when she wants, just like an older sister. Sori seems to lack self-confidence because of this behavior. Both girls are starving for attention and love, and we feel she would thrive on her own.
Update (3/2/17): Sori has had entropian surgery and it went well, she can see much better now. Sori is now in need of a new foster home as she is now in the boarding kennel, and she can be adopted separately from Doobu.
Update (1/25/17): Doobu & Sori are in a foster home in Columbia, but are still looking for their forever home where they can be together.
Annabelle was born approximately February 12th, 2017. She is beautiful black color coat, very outgoing, ready to play and is going to be a leader! If you would like to help with Annabelle's medical expenses please make a donation at MACSPRO.org/donate. Annabelle's adoption fee is $500. Her vetting and getting her skin condition healed far exceeded her adoption fee to get this sweet little girl healthy and ready for her forever home. She is a little lion raring to play and interact. Smart little girl house trained herself.! If you would like to don
Charlie is a beautiful chocolate adult 8 year old sharpei that was left homeless when his owners moved and could not take him with them. He misses them a lot and could use a loving home to foster or make it his forever home. He’s well behaved, knows some tricks and does well around other dogs. Needs some leash training, but otherwise he’s ready to go after his neuter this week. Please think about this adult boy becoming a part of your family.
Brandi will be coming to MACSPRO soon from North Carolina. She is coming more out of her shell each day with allowing many different people to handle her. She was turned in by her owners who could not afford her medical costs for her skin condition.
Update 3/2/17: was officially adopted today and will be spending her days in Westminster with her furry sister, Sweetie, adopter Anna and her family
Snorkels is a bit shy, but a super sweet boy. He does not know how to walk on a leash, but is learning! He is good with cats, dogs and loves people! He is also not food reactive. Please let us know if you can foster Snorkles!
Update 04/30/17 Snorkles found his forever home in Georgetown where he resides with Abbie & Adi, his pei brother Henry and cat Scarlett who he still likes to chase!
Harley (formerly known as Bonsai) came to MACSPRO as a stray from a shelter in New Jersey and is in need of Foster/Forever Home. He is a sweet boy that tolerates other dogs. He’s a bit larger than most pei and is not leash trained yet. Not recommended for small children because of his size.
Update (11/02/2016): Harley had eye surgery and is doing well. He loves to run in the fenced in yard at the kennel, so he would do best in a home with a fence. Will chase after balls, but has not yet learned to bring them back. He is still looking for a foster/forever family.
Update (12/10/16): This big boy could use a home with a fenced in yard, where he can run all he wants and amuse himself with toys. He’s a 3 year old big boy that tolerates most other dogs. He is very lonely at the kennel and could use a foster or furever home for the holidays.
Update (1/25/17): Harley went to a foster home in Annapolis.
