Our Gang - September 2014

Please take a minute to look at our adorable, adoptable gang! The majority of these Pei will be at our upcoming adoption event at Unleashed in Olney, MD on Saturday, September 20 from 11AM to 2PM. We hope to see you there!

Rex is our big boy from New York who loves tummy rubs and playing with water.

 

Stella (#508-14) 

Stella is our small, timid Ori-Pei who just wants someone to cuddle with.

 

Bear (#509-14)

Bear arrived from Kentucky thanks to Kindred Hearts Transport Connection. Bear loves to play and wants to be everyone's friend. Adoption pending.

 

Jenny (#510-14)

Jenny was hit by a car and left on the street before we rescued her. Jenny loves to play now that her pelvis has healed.  Adoption pending.

 

Ellie (#512-14)

Ellie, our sweet flowered Pei, loves to run and play. She is great with kids and most dogs.

 

Jade (#515-14) 

Jade is slowly coming out of her shell but likes to go on walks.  Adoption pending.

 

Judy (#514-14) 

Judy, our New York gal, loves getting treats, running in the grass and playing with toys.

MACSPRO This Week: Updates on our dogs, Pictures for 2015 Calendar, Unleashed

Our Dogs: Sunshine, our little girl from West Virginia, was officially adopted by her foster family this past week. Congratulations Sunshine on your furever home! 
Jenny's pelvis has healed well and was given the ok to walk around on a leash. Jenny went to her foster parents this past weekend and is enjoying life in a home with her new sister, Rooney.

Jade went to the vet this past week and was given a clean bill of health. We are hoping she will go to a foster family this weekend. Keep your fingers crossed for this old gal! 
Bob, our sweet boy from Delaware, is currently safe. We are hoping to have Bob fostered locally, however, we have transporters available to bring him to Maryland if needed.​

2015 Calendar: We are starting to collect images for our 2015 calendar. Please send us any pictures of your adorable Pei so they can be a star in our calendar. Please send images to [email protected] and don't forget to reserve your copy today!

MACSPRO This Week: Updates on Jade, Judy & Jenny and Event Help Wanted

Our Dogs: Jade and Jenny both had vet visits in the past week.  Jade went in for a runny nose and Jenny went for a follow up to her surgery.  Jenny's pelvis has healed really well.  She now gets to go on leash walks which means she gets to be free from her crate and interact with people more.  Jenny also already has an application in! We tried to get more pictures of Jade and Judy this past Saturday but the rain slowed us down.  However, if you'd like to come see any of our pei in person, you can always email [email protected] to schedule a visit to Rivermist.

  

Events: Our next event is an adoption event at Unleashed in Olney, MD on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 11:00am to 2:00pm.   Email [email protected] if you would like to help out either at the table or to transport a pei to and from the event so we can find them their furever homes.

MACSPRO This Week: Minnie, Jade, Judy & K9 in the Vines

Our Dogs: This past week Minnie was adopted at our Unleashed event in Olney, MD. Congratulations, Minnie!

Today we also welcomed two new Pei to our gang! Jade and Judy came in from New York City and are still a bit shy at the moment. Hopefully they will start to come out of their shells soon.

   

Events: Our next event is K9 in the Vines at Linganore Winecellars Berrywine Plantations in Mt Airy, MD which is happening this Sunday, August 24th from 1PM - 5PM. This event will have local wines, food, music and silent auctions. All proceeds benefit the Animal Welfare League of Frederick County. We hope to have some of our Pei there for you to meet so please stop by and say hi!

Donations: We currently have 7 dogs staying at Rivermist Kennels. Although we receive a rescue discount, it still costs us at least $15 a day per dog in order provide them with shelter and food. In addition, bills for vet visits, surgery and transportation are also piling up. Additionally, we hope to save two more Pei in the upcoming weeks. We love being able to save these adorable Pei from the horrible circumstances they are thrown in, however, we cannot do it without your support. Ellie is our new girl from Tennessee. Once she gets to know you, she is very friendly and loving.

MACSPRO This Week: Ellie, Bear, Paris and Unleashed

Our Dogs: This week was a great week for MACSPRO. We welcomed both Ellie, a sweet girl from Tennessee, and Bear, from Kentucky, to our gang! Both of them are great dogs who love people. Hopefully they are able to find their furever home very soon.

In addition, Paris met her new mom at our adoption event this past Saturday at Clippers Canine Cafe! Paris is adjusting very well to her new life in Baltimore, MD. We are so happy for you, Paris!!

Events: This Saturday we will be at Unleashed in Olney from 11AM - 2PM. We hope to have Minnie, Ellie and Stella there for you to meet! ​We would love to see you so please stop by and say hi.

MACSPRO This Week: Updates on Lady Blue, Bear and see you at Clippers

Our Dogs: This week Lady Blue, now IndiGo, moved up to York, PA to get relaxed at her furever home. In addition, we are so excited that Bear will finally be moving up to Brinklow, MD on Sunday.

Events: Next weekend will be a busy weekend for MACSPRO.  We will be at Clipper's Canine Cafe on Saturday. We would love to see you there and if you are interested in seeing a particular dog at this event, please email [email protected]

 

MACSPRO This Week: Unleashed, Jenny, Lady Blue and Bear

Events: Rex, Paris and Stella had a blast at our Adoption Event at Unleashed in Olney on the 19th. We were able to get some great shots of the three of them which have been added to their pages. Our next event is at Clipper's Canine Cafe in Savage, MD on August 9th from 11AM-2PM. We would love to see you there!!

Our Dogs: Jenny has been recovering well from her pelvic surgery. Now that she is feeling better she loves eating treats and giving kisses.  

This week we also welcomed Lady Blue to our MACSPRO gang and she already has a pending adoption. Yay, Lady Blue!

Bear's quarantine is over and we are working hard to get him to Maryland as soon as possible. 

It has been a busy summer thus far and we have been saving a lot of Peis and would greatly appreciate any donations. As always, 100% of your donations are used to help provide our dogs with shelter, food and medical expenses and are tax deductible. Our Peis say a big thank you to all of our donors for your continued support!!
